Plans and the beta
What free means now, where the paid line will fall later, and the limits that exist today.
Right now: everything is free
The beta has one plan and it costs nothing — every dashboard, Lookouts, campaign creation, the Publish queue, and both AI connectors. No card on file, no trial counting down, nothing that converts into a charge later.
A beta account is not a trial and does not expire into anything.
After the beta: two kinds of capability
The line, when it arrives, will fall where the architecture already falls.
Free, permanently — looking at your account. The dashboards, break-even ACoS, the Catalog, trends, data health, and Lookouts that watch, propose and stage — run by hand, up to five watching each marketplace. All of it runs in your browser against your own database. There is no server cost to pass on, and everything in this column keeps working regardless of what happens later.
Paid, after the beta — changing and connecting. Capabilities that involve our servers or act at scale: the AI connectors with their relay, grants and audit; Lookouts that run on their own schedule; advertising changes that spend more, and campaign creation; and price changes and publishing in bulk.
The row-by-row split is published in full on the pricing page, now rather than later, and it is generated from the same capability list the software enforces — so a row there is a promise something can actually check.
Why no price yet? Because it would be a guess. The beta is how we find out which capabilities people actually use and what they are worth. You get notice well before anything changes.
One word deliberately missing from the free column: sync. The promise is your data — the database in your browser, and the dashboards that read it. Fetching depends on Amazon, and there are several ways for that to break that are not ours to fix, so it is not something to promise permanently.
Limits that exist today
Assistant quota. 30 calls a minute and 300 a day, shared across Claude and ChatGPT — enough for a working session, not for a scraper.
Devices. Your plan carries a device limit: how many connected browsers may answer assistant questions. During the beta that is three, so it will not get in your way; if it ever does, you choose which browser answers at Account → Browsers. The limit governs answering, not linking — a browser over the limit still gets a working dashboard.
Lookout runs. A rule with no per-run cap stops at 5,000 selected rows. That is a safety bound, not a plan tier.
Lookouts watching. Five per marketplace on the free plan. The number is printed beside the capability on the pricing page, and it is the busiest marketplace that counts.
Questions people ask
Will the beta cost me anything retroactively? No. There is no card on file and nothing to convert.
What happens to my account when plans arrive? You get notice first, and everything in the free column keeps working regardless.
Is my data locked in? It is in a database inside your own browser, and it stays there. If you stop using MerchPPC the dashboards keep working and the history is still yours — see Privacy and your data.
