Install and connect

Five minutes, an Amazon session you are already signed in to, and no password anywhere.

Before you start

You need to be signed in to Merch on Demand in the same browser. That is the whole prerequisite — MerchPPC uses the session you already have.

You will never be asked for your Amazon password. If anything ever asks you for it, that is not us. MerchPPC has no way to accept one and nowhere to put it.

Install

  1. Add the extension to Chrome.
  2. Open it. It shows you a short setup screen and offers to Verify sign-in — one read-only request to merch.amazon.com, which confirms Amazon knows who you are.
  3. If you are not signed in to Merch, it says so and stops. Sign in on Amazon in the usual way and come back.
  4. Press Start first sync. Nothing runs until you do.

What it is doing while you wait is its own page.

Connect your account

When the first sync has finished and you have seen your own numbers arrive, the extension asks you to sign in at merchppc.com. It asks at that point on purpose: asking first would be asking a stranger to sign up for something they have not yet watched work.

The dashboards need no account to compute anything — every number in them came from your browser. The account is what makes the browser yours: it is how an assistant knows which installation to reach, and what a plan attaches to.

  1. The extension shows you a two-digit number and a Sign in to MerchPPC button. The button stays disabled until the number is there.
  2. Press it. It opens merchppc.com in a new tab.
  3. That page offers you three numbers. Choose the one your extension is showing.

The number matching is doing real work. Only something holding the extension's own link code can know which of the three is right, so a link can never be approved by somebody who merely got hold of the URL — it takes a person looking at both screens at once.

Choose carefully. A wrong number does not ask you to try again — it cancels the request outright. That is deliberate: offering a retry would turn one guess into eight.

What connecting does and does not send

Connecting an account does not upload your sales, royalties, ad spend, campaigns, prices, tags, notes or lookouts. That database stays where it is, and there is nowhere on our side to put it.

What the website learns is: that this browser belongs to your account, what version of the extension it is running, and when it was last seen. If you turn on an assistant integration, questions and answers pass through our relay while you use it — the relay stores neither.

If it does not work

  • It says you are not signed in to Merch — you are signed out of Amazon in this browser profile. Sign in on Amazon and press Verify sign-in again. (Being signed in as a different Merch account is not an error: the extension adopts whichever account the browser is signed in to.)
  • The number does not match — do not guess. Go back to the dashboard in Chrome and start again; the cancelled request cannot be revived.
  • Sign-in opens in the wrong browser — if Chrome is not your default browser, finish with the emailed code rather than the emailed link. A link opens wherever your default browser is signed in, which may be somewhere else entirely.
  • Nothing happens after approving — give it a few seconds before retrying, then check Data health and sync.
